Cheryl T. Baldicantos has been a multimedia journalist for more than eight years now.
She is a graduate of Diploma in Photojournalism at Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism in Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines and a cum laude graduate of a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
She was also honed in both photography and writing at the Deutsche Welle Akademie in Berlin, Germany; Masterclass Series: International Photo Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand; and Angkor Photo Workshop in Cambodia.
Cheryl, or Chiloy as most friends call her, has been an exhibitor and lecturer in various cities abroad including Tokyo, London and Indonesia for the past few years. She also used to be Manila Bulletin’s staff photographer in the Visayas for more than five years. She currently works as a reporter and video editor for CGTN's Assignment Asia; writer for ABSCBN’s online portal; and head of CHILOYVisuals.
Chiloy was born and raised in Mindanao but is now based in Cebu City together with her family, dog and lemongrass forest.
